Dr. Richard Mander, CEO, was most recently CEO of HumanWare, the leading provider of information access devices for blind, low-vision, and learning-disabled people. During Richard's tenure, HumanWare sales grew to $50m and expanded the product offerings. He also repositioned the organization for future growth and lead the Assistive Technology sector. He obtained a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Stanford University and then worked for seven years at Apple developing future technologies including launching and marketing a variety of new products. His Seattle consulting practice Zanzara advised a range of technology companies (many successful start-ups) on customer-centered product design and methods for improving product development. He returned to New Zealand in 2004 to take a position as Chief Technology Officer with Navman before moving to HumanWare in 2006. Richard passionately believes in the potential of BigScreenLiveâÂÂs technology to enhance the everyday lives of our members.
Tim Rider, CFO and Founder, is a business development and economics analysis expert who brings deep experience in wireless product development and business process automation. A veteran executive specializing in information technology and e-business, Tim most recently held the position of Director of Wireless Programs for Delta Air Lines.
Eddie Lanham, VP Product and Operations, is a seasoned executive with deep experience growing, managing, and improving software and technology service companies. His expertise includes business strategy, product development, operations, customer support, technology, sales, and business management. Most recently, Eddie was Vice President of E-Default Solutions, and has held senior positions with firms including Ariba, Prommis Solutions, Scient, and Andersen Business Consulting.
Laura Urban Perry, Product and User Design, winner of two Webbie awards, is well known in the field of publishing and design. Laura took an active role in the creation of electronic publishing tools at Aldus and Adobe - the developers of PageMaker, Photoshop, and Acrobat PDF. Laura's expertise in user interface design has led consumer and corporate efforts for Amazon, America Online, Hewlett Packard, various innovative startups, online magazines, and small businesses.
