Monitor Sep 16, 2008 This monitor is great. It does exactly what I would expect it to do, and it arrived on time without any problems.
Excellent Monitor Jul 29, 2008 I bought three of these for my office. They are bright, sharp, and easy on the eyes.

Good LCD for the price. Feb 27, 2008 I bought this Acer ET.BX3WP.002 LCD (X173w) from ANTOnline. It came in 3 days which was excellent. For some reason this monitor does not seem too popular but it is quite good. Mine came with zero dead or stuck pixels so I was very happy about that. I will quote some specifications to help possible buyers in the future. Amazon should thank me for this because they have not done a good job with listing the features of this LCD.
First of all the model number is actually ET.BX3WP.002 which seems to indicate a minor revision over previous models. The friendly model number is "X173W" and according to the box, the version is "X173W b". Maybe previous versions had a flaw that was fixed, I don't know but I thought it would be useful to say that if you do buy this LCD, you would be getting the updated version even though Amazon uses the older model number.
Some Features:
Resolution: 1440x900.
Brightness: 250 cd/metre squared.
Contrast: 1000 (ACM).
Pixel Pitch: 0.255mm(H) x 0.255mm(V)
Response Time: 8ms.
Viewing Angle: 140(H), 130(V).
Input: D-Sub (VGA).
Energy Star ON mode: Less than or equal to 36W.
Energy Star OFF mode: Less than or equal to 1W.
Maximum Power Consumption: 40W.
Pros:
1.) Comes with VGA cable so you can use it right away.
2.) No bulky adapter block in the power cord like some other brands.
3.)This monitor supports Adaptive Contrast Management (ACM) which allows it to use less power than comparable monitors.
Cons:
1.) No DVI port. DVI ports should be standard on all monitors these days.
2.) Still uses CCFL back lighting which sucks because it basically limits the lifetime of the LCD to the lifetime of the CCFL tube which is about 5 years.
